Strictly Come Dancing 2014 – what we’ve learned from seeing the celebs in training

The first Strictly live is at 9pm tonight (Friday, September 26) on BBC1.

But what can we surmise from the celebs’ first training session?

Here’s what we thought:

1. The serious ones

Aliona is already whipping Gregg Wallace into action with her no-nonsense approach, while Scott Mills and Jake Wood (EastEnders) are donning very angry concentration faces throughout.

2. The ones to watch

Having already captured the hearts of early morning TV and we know that Alison Hammond is going to capture the nation with her love of ballroom and sense of fun on Strictly.

Plus, we’re sure that her trainer Aljaz Skorjanec, who won last year with Abby Clancy, had more fun in their first session than he did in the whole of the last series.
