Foxtrot Friday – An Adorable (and by no means Frightening) Foxtrot for Halloween

For today’s Foxtrot Friday, we knew you’d all be feeling extra spooked out by Halloween, so thought we’d treat you to an adorable (spider-free) dance from last week. We’ve chosen the wonderful Foxtrot from Frankie Bridge and Kevin “the hunky dunky donut from Grimsby” Clifton.

We know already that Kevin from Grimsby likes calling Frankie, Frankie-stein, but we’d beg to differ (sorry Kevin) as there was nothing frightening about this dance at all. It had a beautiful mellifluous (thank you Mr Revel Horwood for telling us what that word means) quality and the choreography was so charming.

The dance made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside and they both looked adorable (like two little bunny rabbits) dancing this together. Frankie’s dress was stunning and for us it was one of our favourite dances of the night!

Before the chaos and fear of Halloween strike tonight, we thought we’d show this dance to calm any nerves you may have this freaky friday. Here are Frankie and Kevin with their floaty, fantastic foxtrot. We hope you enjoy it:

Throwback Thursday – A Toxic Halloween Dance From Our Pros

This morning, we showed you a dramatic, mysterious and spooky dance from some of our professional dancers.

This is, by far one of our favourite ever professional dances. It had energy, drama, passion, amazing choreography, costumes and make up. The music is one of our favourite Britney songs too. It was spooky and mysterious and really captured the Halloween atmosphere.

We loved it and hope you do to. Here are some of our professionals with this freakishly good dance to Toxic:

We hope you enjoyed watching this dance and would love to hear what you thought of it. We’d also like to hear tricks and treats you think our pros will have in store for us with their professional routines this week? Comment below or tweet us @scd_support for a shoutout.

Have a great day.

Wednesday Warm-Up – It may be Halloween soon, but there are no tricks here, only treats!

Halloween is creeping up on us and with the Strictly Halloween Special this weekend, we’re extra excited!

On Wednesdays, those of you who are new to our blog may not know, we like to show you a dance from the Strictly Archives which relieves your hump day blues.

Today, we thought we’d mix things up and treat you to not just one dance, but two dances. Yes, it’s time for our Halloween Dance Duel, where we show you two amazing Charlestons from Halloween which really captured what Strictly is all about, and then we’ll ask you to choose your ultimate favourite of the two dances.

For the first of our dances today, we’re taking you back to see a spellbinding dance from Lisa Riley and Robin Windsor. Although not technically perfect, the characterisation and entertainment value in this dance were infectious and we really loved it. Robin playing the geek perfectly and was truly under Lisa’s spell.

For the second of our dances we took you on a trip to the pictures to see a creepily captivating Charleston from Susanna Reid and Kevin (the werewolf from Grimsby) Clifton. This dance can only be described in several words, fab-u-lous, fun, a-may-zing, expressive and well words can’t describe Kevin dressed up as a werewolf. We loved this dance and it was one of our favourite ever Halloween performances.

Both these dances are truly amazing, but in true Strictly Support Group style, we know there’s only one way to pick the ultimate winner, and that’s with a poll! Just vote in this poll below to pick your favourite of the two dances and we’ll reveal it after 8pm tonight.

Get voting!

We’d love to hear what you thought of both these Charlestons. Comment in the box below to let us know.

Have a great day!

Tango Tuesday – A Smoking Hot Argentine Tango

For today’s Tango Tuesday fix, we took you back to 2012 to see the smoking hot and mysterious Argentine Tango which is one of our favourite ever dances on Strictly.

We’re taking you back to see Nicky Byrne and Karen Hauer’s amazing Argentine Tango from series 10. Although it didn’t receive 10s we loved the choreography, costumes, the mood, atmosphere and music in this performance.

When we saw it at the tour in February, it was our favourite dance of the night. Nicky captured the James Bond character perfectly. Karen choreographed a beautiful routine which challenged Nicky and he performed it brilliantly. There was mood, atmosphere and more tension than a catapult!

We loved it and hope you will too. Here are Nicky and Karen with their steamy, smoking hot, mysterious and moody Argentine Tango!

We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. Tweet us @scd_support or comment in the box below. Do you have a favourite Tango? Let us know and we may just make your favourite Tango our Tango Tuesday fix.
