Samba Saturday – A Dance to make you smile and feel less crabby!

It’s the weekend and we know that whilst there are some of you who are super excited about the next two days, you may well have some people at home who are feeling a little crabby! This is where we come in to cheer you up and make you smile.

Those of you who follow us on twitter, probably have learnt by now that my 4 year old, Bella is the biggest fan of Strictly in my house. She’s campaigning to #gettheglitterballtogrimsby and last weekend was very impressed with Scott and Joanne’s Samba. She kindly asked begged mummy to let her choose this as our Samba Saturday dance this week.

This is why (in Bella’s words) she loved Scott and Joanne’s dance so much. “I really liked Scott and Joanne’s dance last week as they had lots of fun. Being a crab isn’t easy. I tried it and Scott did better than me. Joanne is Ariel from Grimsby too and the routine made me smile and want to dance along lots. Mummy even let me vote for them three times once (that she knows about). He isn’t the best dancer, but dancing isn’t about being perfect, it’s about having fun. Scott looked like he was at a birthday party having a really good time. I really enjoyed this dance and think the judges need to be nicer to Scott. He is trying very hard!”

Thank you Bella for choosing today’s Strictly fix. We’re pretty sure it will be remembered as one of those great Strictly moments for many years to come. Here it is incase you missed it last Saturday:

We’d love to hear what you thought about this dance. Tweet us @scd_support or comment below. We look forward to hearing from you.

I’m bravely helping Bella host a chat during Strictly tonight from 6.15pm. We hope you can join us. She’s also promised to give anyone who takes part a chocolate cake over twitter!
