Earlier tonight we got our strictly snacks (chocolate and grapes) and snuggled onto our sofa to watch the results show.
The show opened with a fabulous routine from our Professional Dancers, all dressed in blue! The biggest critic in my house (aged 4 and a half) loved the dance, as the girls looked like Pandas, but we realised that poor Janette was left on her own again this week in the professional dancers. Note to the Strictly Producers, next week, make sure that Janette has a partner (even if it’s the teddy bear Pasha and Caroline danced with last night!) We know someone has to be on their own as there are only 15 professional dancers but we think she might be getting a little bit lonely.
We then saw our couples saved one by one with Thom and Iveta, Sunetra and Brendan, Caroline and Pasha, Simon and Kristina and Judy and Anton all being saved. Judy and Anton won the best safety face reaction for the 1st group of celebrities to be saved.
There was massive shock around the Strictly Support Group and the whole nation as Mark and Karen were then revealed as being in the dance off. This was very unexpected, especially as we thought their quickstep was their best dance. Bruno commented that “they didn’t deserve to be there!” and Craig was, well speechless! We’re pretty sure Lady Gaga was shocked with this result too, given her hairstyle during her performance with Tony Bennett (great dancing from Trent and Natalie by the way!)
We then saw the next group of our celebrities to be saved. These were Steve and Ola, Frankie and Kevin, Jake and Janette, Pixie and Trent, Alison and Aljaz and Scott and Joanne. Of the safety reactions, Ola, Kevin and Joanne have to win for us. Joanne’s relief was so visible and we cannot wait to see all these couples dance again.
This left Tim and Natalie in the Dance off with Mark and Karen. After an emotional dance off (where my 4 year old hugged the TV to give both couples hugs as they looked very upset!) Our judges unanimously voted for the white knight (Mark) and his partner Karen to be safely through to another week on the show.
That ended this week’s result’s show. We’d love to hear what you thought of the show. Tweet us @scd_support or comment in the box below. We look forward to hearing from you.
