30 Day Challenge- Bella’s A to Z of Strictly. N is for @realnatalielowe

It’s Sunday & day 14 of my Strictly Alphabet. Today it’s time for the letter N! On Strictly there is a Princess in the Ballroom called Natalie! She’s one of the professional dancers and always looks like a beautiful princess when she dances. Look, I even have a bunny rabbit named after her too:

Natalie the Ballerina Bunny – She can’t dance that well yet, but she’s only a few days old!

It’s Natalie Lowe. She is a patient and kind teacher who always gets the best out of the celebrities and people she’s partnered with. She even won the People’s Strictly and got a Glitterball. I was really happy because she really deserved to win a shiny, pretty Glitterball! *dreams of glitter*

As it’s Smooth Sunday, mummy helped me choose 2 American Smooths. These are two of my favourite American Smooths Natalie has choreographed and performed. The lifts look like great fun, the dances look beautiful and Natalie’s dresses were very pretty.

My first American Smooth is from Natalie and Michael Vaughan. They performed this at Wembley to a song about New York! That must have been really confusing for any Taxi Drivers!

The second dance is from Natalie and Ricky Whittle to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow!” I was still in my mummy’s tummy when they performed this dance, but mummy said it made her cry in a good way because it was very beautiful. I think it was lovely too. Even if Grumpy Len didn’t like it, I did and think it was beautiful!

I’d have given both dances a 10/10! Which dance did you prefer! Watch both the videos below and let me know. You can tweet me @scd_support or comment below.

I’ll be back tomorrow with the next letter on my A to Z of Strictly! Have a lovely day everyone!

Strictly Support Group – Our Weekly Chat Recap!

It’s been a very busy and hectic week for us, so this week we had a bit of a mixed bag of a chat based on rumours we’d heard about Strictly 2015!

Over the last few days we’ve heard that Craig Revel-Horwood would love to see a same-sex dance partnership on Strictly 2015/2016. We asked who you would like to see as part of this partnership? You gave some wonderful answers. Here are our favourites:

Reading your responses, lots of you would love to see Robin back on the show with his partner Marcus. It’s made us think we should start a #bringbackrobin campaign!

For our second question, we asked an FA Cup and Britain’s Got Talent related question, asking you which footballer, Britain’s Got Talent host, contestant or judge would you like to see on Strictly 2015 and why? Here are your fab-u-lous suggestions:

(after watching David on Gangsta Granny, we’ve seen him dance and think he’d be uh-may-zing!)

(as a footballer he’d be light on his feet and perfect at the quickstep!)

(as a street dancer, we think he’d be truly awesome!)

You may or may not know, today was Neighbours Day! We love a good Soap Opera. Over the years on Strictly, there have been some uh-may-zing soap stars gracing the Strictly Dancefloor. We asked who for you has been the Best Soapstar to have appeared on Strictly. Here were your fab-u-lous suggestions:

For our next question, we asked which strictly routines you thought were like some iconic moments. We asked for the Strictly dance which most reminded you of Lucy Beale’s Murder on Eastenders! You all suggested the Tango and Paso Doble (two dramatic and passionate routines!) We then asked you for the dance which most reminded you of MIchelle and Steve’s wedding in Coronation Street. You all suggested the waltz, a truly romantic and beautiful dance.

For our final question, we asked which Soap Star you’d like to see on Strictly 2015 and who would you pair them with? Here were your wonderful answers:

And that ended our chat tonight. If you didn’t get the chance to take part, don’t worry, you can still take part by tweeting your answers to @scd_support or commnting below. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly. M is for Mark and Matt!

People called Mark or Matt! If you’re asked to take part on Strictly, please say yes! Mummy’s shown me lots of Marks and Matt’s who’ve taken part on Strictly, and as Craig would say “Dah-lings you can dance!”

It’s day 13 of my 30 day blog challenge and today is brought to you by the letter M!

M is for Mark and Matt who have lots of rhythm and moves!

Over the last 11 years (that’s longer than I’ve been alive, you know!) there have been lots of Marks and Matts to take to the dancefloor on Strictly.

Having a look at things Marks have appeared in the Strictly Final twice (both with partners called Karen!) and Matts have appeared in the Strictly Final 4 times (one of these times was a professional dancer, but it still counts!) Spooky!

This shows us that Matts and Marks can dance and have natural rhythm and lots of moves.

As it’s Saturday, mummy says I need to show you a Salsa and a Samba. I couldn’t make my mind up which Salsa or Samba to show you today (it’s harder than choosing between chocolate cake and lemon drizzle cake!) so I’ve made a playlist of the great Sambas and Salsa from Matts and Marks. Watch the videos and then let me know which is your favourite. You can tweet me @scd_support or comment below:

I’m off to watch Matilda now with my Mummy and Daddy, but Mummy says don’t forget to join her from 7.30pm tonight for her Strictly Support Group chat.

Have a great day everyone!

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly – L is for Len!

On Strictly, there is one judge who is always kind to the couples. It’s Len! He can be grumpy sometimes, but he always says funny things like winner, winner, chicken dinner and yum, yum pig’s bum. I think he secretly likes animals like me! I like chicken, but I’m not sure what a Pig’s bum would taste like. It doesn’t sound very nice.

Len has been a judge on every series of Strictly. He must be really old now! He also judges in America so has to fly between America and London when both series are on! That sounds like hard work.

I like Len because he’s fair and is never cruel to our couples. Even when Craig was horrible to Ariel from Grimsby and Scott during their Crab Routine, Len could see they tried their best, and said nice things to them.

Len also knows his stuff and knows how to dance ballroom and latin. Mummy says he used to do a masterclass on It Takes Two every week! That sounds like a lot of fun.

I also like Len because his name rhymes with ten! He also gives out a lot of sev-erns, which are very good scores, unlike the scores that some of the other judges give.

As it’s Friday, we need to show you a Foxtrot. Over the last 11 years, Len has given out a Len-Ten to sev-ern Foxtrots. We’re pretty sure, if Len were to choose a Foxtrot Friday, I think he’d pick these dances if he were given the chance to choose a Foxtrot Friday:

What are  your favourite Len moments? Let me know by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below!

I’ll be back tomorrow with the next letter in my Strictly A-Z. Hope to see you then!

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly. Day 11 – K is for @karen_hauer @keviclifton @krihanoff

K is for kittens Karen, Kevin and Kristina.

You probably know by now that as well as Strictly, I also love cats! Mummy says I’ll be the crazy cat lady when I’m older. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds fun.

I wanted to write a post about kittens, but *pulls paso face and stomps feet*  I’ve been told that it has to be Strictly related, so today I’m writing about 3 of my favourite professional dancers Karen, Kevin and Kristina!

I only started watching Strictly when I was 3 (2 years ago) but I think these three professionals are three of the kindest professionals. They’re always patient and always get the best out of the celebrities they dance with. They also choreograph (creative) routines that look like lots of fun to dance. They make Strictly look like a party which we all want to join in with at home *starts attempting the Jive.*

They are also really lovely to their fans, are amazing dancers (I want to dance like them when I’m older) and mummy says they’re great role models for all the girls and boys who love Strictly (like me!)

Kevin and Karen are both world record holders because they’re such amazing dancers and Kristina won the Strictly Tour 2015 trophy with Simon this year. I think they all deserve a glitterball for being amazing. Karen, Kevin and Kristina, here is your glitterball. It’s yummy too. Hope you enjoy it!

Here are some kittens of my favourite Karen, Kevin and Kristina moments on Strictly:

What are your favourite moments from Karen, Kevin and Kristina? Let me know by commenting below or tweeting @scd_support.

I’ll be back tomorrow for the next letter in my Strictly alphabet. The letter L!

*waves* Bye!

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly – J is for Jive!

I’ve been blogging for 10 days now. That feels like ages when you’re only little! Anyway, mummy says it’s hump day today and apparently I need to make you people smile!

I could tell you a joke *thinks of her best jokes*

Q) What do you call a dinosaur without any eyes?

A) A do-you-think-he-saurus

Watches as some of her audience falls asleep like these little cuties

I could do a dance *starts jumping around then gets told off by mummy* Sorry mummy!
or I could show you lots of dances which will make you smile a lot! The Jive always makes me smile and mummy says you like watching the Jive too!

That’s day 10 of our A to Z of Strictly sorted!

J is for Jive

I like the Jive as it is very fast and it’s how I think bunny rabbits would dance if they could dance. It looks like lots of fun and is my favourite ever dance on Strictly! If I ever feel sad, I always ask mummy if I can watch these Jives because they’ll make me smile.

My favourite ever Jive is the Jive that Trishna and Aljaz performed on the People’s Strictly. I liked Trishna’s dress, because it was yellow and I liked the story of the dance. There were people on rollerskates in the dance and Trishna and Aljaz looked like they had lots of fun dancing it. Mummy says that you shouldn’t try rollerskating on a dancefloor unless you are very good at it, because she doesn’t want you to hurt yourselves.

If you want to smile just watch these dances below, they will cheer you up:

I’d like to know what your favourite ever Jive is and who you think is King/Queen of the Jive on Strictly? Let me know by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below. Look forward to hearing from you.

Have a great day everyone!

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly – I is for @ianwaite @d8iveta

I is for Ian Waite and Iveta Lukosiute

Hello everyone! Bella here, again. Today, I’ve decided that on Planet Strictly, I is for Ian Waite and Iveta Lukosiute. I don’t remember Ian dancing on Strictly (I’m only 5) but Mummy said he was uh-may-zing!

I like it when Ian does his Wednesday Warm-Up on It Takes Two, because he is always nice to our couples and gives them comments they can work on to make sure they dance as well as they can on Saturday. I also like Ian’s Wednesday Warm-Up because it means that there are only 3 sleeps until the live shows when Strictly is on! *jumps up and down* Mummy showed me this dance earlier and I really liked it. It was very dramatic and the costumes were perfect for the Tango. Mummy said it was an ingenious and inventive tango. I don’t know what those words mean yet. *pulls a paso face and tries to copy the dance*

I’ve also chosen to talk about Iveta. I liked Iveta dancing on Strictly and will miss seeing her this year. She always looked like a princess and sang really well too! The dances she taught and choreographed were (as my mummy would say) inventive and creative. *searches to find out what these words mean in her dictionary.* This is my favourite of her dances and it also is a tango:

I’d like to know what you think I stands for on Planet Strictly. I’d also like to find out what your favourite Ian and Iveta moments have been on Strictly. Let me know by commenting below or tweeting me @scd_support.

I’ll see you tomorrow for the next letter of my A to Z of Strictly,

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A – Z of Strictly. H is for….

Things are about to get spooky here at the Strictly Support Group. My lovely 5 year old has decided that in the Strictly Alphabet, H is for…. Halloween! Here is her post to explain why!

H is for Halloween!

Today there are only *counts on her fingers* 7 months until Santa comes which means there are just over 5 months until Halloween, which is nearly Christmas. I like Halloween because I get to dress up as a cat and get lots of sweets when I go trick or treating  Strictly always do a great Halloween Special. It’s not scary, but is sparkly and spooky!

I’ve only watched Strictly for 2 years, but have seen 2 fab-u-lous Halloween shows. I like Halloween because the people get to dress up. Kevin became a Teddy Bear, but mummy says he was a Werewolf. I don’t know what they are, but they don’t sound very nice like Kevin.

I also like Halloween because our judges are normally nice to our couples. They always give them good scores.

The dances at Halloween are like stories, because the people dress up which makes Strictly even more fun.

Here are some of my favourite Halloween Moments. What are yours? Let me know by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below:

Have a great Monday!

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly – Day 7 – G is for…..

G is for GorgeousΒ Gaw-jus, Glittery and THE (Russell) Grant!

It’s a Sunday and while Bella’s enjoying a well-deserved day of rest, she’s kindly asked me to help her write today’s post! When it comes to the letter G, you may have guessed in her eyes the best word beginning with G is glitter! If you don’t like glitter, or are allergic to it, look away now!

The shiniest glitterball of them all, with extra added glitter and a bit more glitter on top!

On Strictly there is one dance which is more glittery than any other and that’s the American Smooth. It always seems to be the sparkliest dance on the dancefloor. It’s rarely outshone by the other ballroom dances. This may be because there are added sequins as well as lifts! It looks glamourous, gaw-jus and extra glittery.

For us, there is one American Smooth which was sparklier than the rest and that is Russell Grant and Flavia Cacace’s fun and entertaining dance from 2011.

It may not have been technically perfect, but there was some serious bling with the sequins going on with their costumes, which looked gaw-jus. It was full of theatricality and just made us want to burst out into song and join in *looks around to see if anyone else felt the same* 😯

Here are Russell and Flavia with their American Smooth. We hope you enjoy it:

We’d love to hear what you thought of that dance. You can tweet us @scd_support or comment below to let us know. Let us also know what’s been the most glittery dance on strictly for you and we’ll give you a shoutout!

Bella will be back tomorrow with the next letter in her Strictly A to Z!
