For many, this weekend is the Bank Holiday Weekend. This means one thing in our books;
we have an extra long weekend. The Strictly Launch Show is just a week away and we cannot wait!
Onto tonight’s news bulletin and the headlines:
*Bong* Strictly Pros become nocturnal and turn up to film very early in the morning. If this is somehow involved in the launch show, it sounds intriguing and we can’t wait! We think they deserved lots of coffee and bacon sarnies today! ☕️🍔☕️🍔
*Bong* We also saw some top secret paparazzi pictures from rehearsals yesterday and must say, everyone looked fab-u-lous:
*Bong* We also saw the first sneak-peek at the Strictly Advert and we cannot wait to see all of this year’s celebrities being paired up with their professionals next Saturday. They all look fab-u-lous and seem to get on like a (sparkly) house on fire. (No houses were harmed in the writing of this post:)
And finally… Now all our celebrities have been revealed, we’ve been hard at work, playing a little bit of match-making and wondering who our celebrities will be paired with! Here are our ideas so far:
Jeremy Vine and Aliona Vilani – Team Jerona has a great ring to it, and Girona is one of our favourite places ever, so this would definitely work.
Ainsley Harriot and Karen Clifton – He’s a chef and she loves cooking (and really deserves to be on Masterchef.) We saw Karen work wonders with Hairy Biker Dave, so are sure that she can help us see that chefs can dance!
Kellie Bright and Tristan MacManus – Looking at these two, these two look like a match made in heaven. We think Kellie will be brilliant on the dancefloor and would love to see more of Tristan, after his early exit from Strictly last year.
Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice – Possibly the most adorable Strictly pairing ever! Enough Said
Katie Derham and Pasha Kovalev – We’re not sure why, but think this partnership would work, especially if Katie bribed Pasha with chocolate.
Carol Kirkwood and Anton Du Beke – Team Carton has a great ring to it. Cartons of milk are an important part of any breakfast and she’s a fab-u-lous addition to the BBC Breakfast team. Matching a Breakfast TV legend with a Strictly Legend can only be the makings of something good!
Peter Andre and Janette Manrara – We know that Peter would love to dance with Ola, however think that these two will make the perfect pairing. They’re both petite, energetic and we think Janette deserves a good partner. Her choreography is creative and we want to see more this year.
Daniel O’Donnell and Kristina Rihanoff – Pairing the King Of Swing with the very glamourous and lovely Kristina seems a great pairing. We think they’ll be fearsome in the ballroom.
Antony Ogogo and Ola Jordan – We’re not sure why but have the feeling this partnership will work!
Jay McGuiness and Otlile Mabuse – Looking at these two together, they really look adorable and think they’ll be the pair we want to hug through our TV screens week after week.
Anita Rani and Brendan Cole – Last year we had Team Brenetra, so why not have team Brenita this year! Anita seems enthusiastic and think with focus, Brendan and her could be contenders.
Jamelia and Aljaz Skoranjec – She’s tall and he’s tall, dark and handsome! If there ever was a dance partnership blind date show, these two would be the perfect partners.
Helen George and Kevin Clifton – Kevin has choreographed some of the most original and traditional dances over the last 2 years. Helen has an elegant 50s glamour and having watched her dance on Call the Midwife, we think that Kevin’s choreography would suit this lady perfectly. We also think that Team Heven has a heavenly ring to it!
Iwan Thomas and Natalie Lowe – He’s tall, very tall and would be best paired with Natalie for this reason!
Kirsty Gallacher and Gleb Savchencko – These two just look perfect together. We think they’ll be a dream partnership.
Those are our ideas. We’ll be here tomorrow from 7pm for our weekly chat and will be chatting about all things Launch Show related. We hope you can join us then!
