Last night, my Strictly Superfan Bella dressed up as a spider-cat (part spider, part cat) to watch the Strictly Halloween show with me, her mummy! Here is her verdict on each of the performances!
Hello people inside mummy’s computer. I really loved the Strictly Halloween show and thought it was fab-u-lous but also a bit frightening!
The opening group dance looked like a lot of fun. It looks like our playtime at school, because everyone was running everywhere. I think they must have all been baking before dancing, because lots of them had flour all over their faces! Mummy didn’t seem too happy when I poured flour everywhere this morning. I’m not sure why, because I was pretending I was on Strictly. 👻😆
Katie and Anton’s Paso Doble
Mummy said that Katie and Anton were pretending to be the Phantom of the Opera. I’m not sure who he is, but she looked really pretty like a princess and I liked this dance a lot. I think the judges must have gone Trick or Treating and didn’t get any sweets this week because they were really grumpy and didn’t like this dance!
Kirsty and Brendan’s Charleston
I really liked Kirsty’s dress, but they went a bit wrong during the dance. I think the ghost of Halloween must have scared her so she couldn’t dance anymore. They needed Georgia and Giovanni to help get rid of the ghosts in their dance!
Jeremy and Karen’s Salsa
My favourite dance of the night! I loved it! I think they must have been baking before, because they looked like they had flour all over their faces *attempts to recreate the Karen & Jeremy look in the kitchen* It looked a lot of fun and I can’t stop watching it! I’d have given them a 10, but Craig gave them a 4, which is almost as good as a 10 for Jeremy! They ended up top of the leaderboard for 1 dance too. Mummy will tell you, I got very excited!
Anita and Gleb’s Waltz
Anita’s horns made her look like a bull, so I think it was supposed to be a Paso Doble crossed with a Waltz. I really liked this dance and want to invite Len over to my house to watch Malificent. Mummy started crying watching it. Im not sure why, it wasn’t that bad! It was really good.
Jamelia and Tristan’s Jive
I liked this dance, but think the judges were a bit mean because her costume looked like a zebra and zebras don’t really belong on Halloween. I think she got a little bit confused too because there were skeletons in the studio, so she didn’t know who to dance with!
Jay and Aliona’s American Smooth
Jay was supposed to be a wolf! I think he must have taken lessons from Kevin, because he looked like he did a couple of Halloweens ago! I liked Aliona’s story at the beginning of the dance. She needs to come to my school and read us stories because it was very good. I liked the dance too and want to borrow Aliona’s dress next week for my friend’s party!
Kellie and Kevin’s Paso Doble
Wow! Kevin really is Harry Potter! He is a magician who teaches people to dance really well! My auntie said “this dance was too cool for school!” I’m not sure what she meant because they didn’t look like they were cold dancing it. It had lots of drama in it too and I’m going to attempt the table bit at school tomorrow (don’t tell mummy, because she’ll get angry with me!) I think the judges were a bit mean about this dance, because it was awesome! They deserved a 10/10!
Carol and Pasha’s Rumba
Pasha looked a bit poorly in this dance. He went very green. I think Carol was trying to look after him, so they didn’t do a lot of dancing, but I think the judges were really cruel. Mummy needs to go and give them a cuddle and send the judges some sweeties their way to cheer them up a little bit.
Georgia and Giovanni’s Tango
I liked her lipstick a lot! This dance was so fast it was amazing. I really loved it and may have used mummy’s phone to call Ghostbusters after they dance. Don’t tell her though! One thing, the band got the words to the song wrong. It should have been “who you gonna call? Team GG”
Peter and Janette’s Foxtrot
I loved Janette’s dress. I think I might ask her if I can borrow it next week because she’s little like me! I liked the dance, but I think they didn’t score as high as Georgia and Giovanni because they had a spider on his outfit which scared the judges! They went to the forest and Janette went there last year and this year she was a forest creature! I think she must be a fairy from the forest like that girl in Into The Woods!
Helen and Aljaz’s Samba
They were mummies apparently, but they didn’t look like my mummy! *tries to wrap mummy up in bandages* Helen’s hair made her look more like a lion. I liked this dance a lot and it was one of my favourites of the night!
That’s what I thought of the Halloween special. Mummy says someone has to go home tonight, but I don’t think it’s fair because they’re all so good and I love them all too much to say bye bye to someone! Also anyone who goes home tonight should be allowed to come back again next week, because they weren’t being themselves, they were being ghosts and scary people!
Thank you Bella for your verdict. I’ll be back later from 7pm for a results show recap.
