Strictly 2015 – Adieu to Jeremy and Karen!

*Wipes tears from her eyes* Tonight, one couple’s journey to Blackpool ended as they left the Strictly Ballroom. Jeremy and Karen became the 7th couple to leave the floor and take their last dance.

Over the last few weeks we have been entertained by this couple whose performances have filled us with joy and whose resilience and determination have told us never to give up, even if you think you can’t do it, you will be able to do it with practice!

Their friendship shone through in every performance and Karen turned Mr Vine into a great dancer. Her choreography has been great and really suited Jeremy’s strengths and he came out every week and performed it to his best ability!

We have loved watching them dance every week and they both captured what Strictly is all about, learning a new skill whilst having fun! Who could forget his cowboy tango, fred astaire-esque Charleston and his Jive in the bath? They have got our vote and will be sorely missed.

Here are some of their best bits in pictures:

Sadly Bertie the horse and Sparkle-hooves the donkey won’t go on to Blackpool, but they and Jeremy and Karen will remain in our memory as one of the most hard-working, entertaining and fabulous couples to have ever graced the Strictly floor. They really have been people’s champions for us and we think they both deserve glitterballs!

We’d love this to become a tribute to them. Comment below with your messages of support for them and we’ll make sure they see them.

  1. Saturday nights on SCD will not be the same without you. You danced with so much enthusiasm and you made me smile each week. You have done yourself and family proud. Keep dancing!
