Yes, this weekend we’ll not just be travelling to Planet Strictly but we’ll also be going to Hollywood as it’s Movie Week *jumps up and down excitedly*

Last year’s movie week amazed us with that Jive from Jay and Aliona and we’re pretty sure this week there’ll be some Oscar worthy performances this year too.

Last night we learnt the songs that the Fab-u-lous Fourteen couples will be performing to this week. We’ve grabbed some popcorn 🍿and pick’n’mix in preparation. Here is what we predict will happen this weekend!

Anastacia and Brendan will be dancing the Viennese Waltz to ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri (from the Twilight Saga) – The woman whose bravery knows no bounds will be performing to one of my all time favourite songs. It has been used for a Viennese Waltz before (Kimberly and Pasha’s back in 2012.) After 2 lively dances, it’ll be great to see Anastacia in ballroom hold. Despite her injury, we predict this could be her best dance yet! She is a brilliant actress so we’re sure she will be able to pull off a heartwarming performance of a Viennese Waltz.  We give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 stars out of 5)

Claudia and AJ will be dancing the Charleston to ‘You Give a Little Love’ by Paul Williams (from Bugsy Malone) – *Jumps up and down* A Bugsy Malone themed Charleston! We love it. These two are super cute and would fit the role of Bugsy Malone characters perfectly. We can’t wait to see the acrobatic tricks that AJ puts in for Claudia and are sure they will dazzle on the ballroom floor! We give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars out of 5)

Daisy and Aljaz will be dancing the Viennese Waltz to ‘Spoonful of Sugar’ (from Mary Poppins) – Before it was announced week 3 would be  Movie Week, my little girl commented that her favourite celebrity this year looked like Mary Poppins and she’d like her to do a Mary Poppins themed dance on Movie Week Strictly (if it happened) ! Now it’s happening I have one very excitable 6 year old. Her waltz was stunning and we predict her viennese waltz will be even better. It may even score the first 10 of the series! We give them 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Danny and Oti will be dancing the Paso Doble to ‘The Train’ by James Horner / ‘El Sombero Blanco’ (from The Mask of Zorro) – Dark, Mysterious and just Phwoar! Those are three words that sum up this pair. We predict this dance will blow us away just like their Viennese Waltz and Cha Cha did. Danny will definitely channel Zorro brilliantly. We cannot wait! We give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ed and Katya will be dancing the Samba to ‘Cuban Pete’ (from The Mask) For the sequel to the charleston, we have the samba! We cannot wait and the anticipation for this dance is building up. We love watching Ed dance. Yes, he’s not the best technically but he’s trying his very hardest and you can see that he’s loving dance so much. If he gets to wear The Mask and yellow suit we’ll be very happy! We give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Greg and Natalie will be dancing the American Smooth to ‘Everything I Do (I Do It For You)’ by Bryan Adams (from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves) We have a feeling this dance will show off Greg’s tender side and will make us weep ever so slightly! It’ll be a beautiful song to dance to. We’re not sure about it being used for an American Smooth as it fits Rumba better in our opinion. Natalie is a brilliant choreographer so we’re sure her choreography will fit the song and dance perfrectly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Judge Rinder and Oksana will be dancing the Charleston to ‘Meet The Flintstones’ (from The Flintstones) Last week, Judge Rinder said he was more Fred Flintstone than Fred Astaire… cue the Strictly producers giving him a Flintstone inspired Charleston. He has entertained us over the last 2 weeks and his dancing has been spectacular.  We cannot wait and think it’ll be an epic performance. Yabba Dabba Doo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Laura and Giovanni will be dancing the Salsa to ‘Rhythm of the Night’ by Valeria (from Moulin Rouge) Yet another one of our favourite films. It’s a great choice for salsa. We think these two will sizzle in this dance and cannot wait to see it. We give them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lesley and Anton will be dancing the Quickstep to ‘A Couple of Swells’ by Judy Garland and Fred Astaire (from Easter Parade) – These two legends will be performing what promises to be a classic ballroom routine full of hollywood glamour. We hope Anton gets to wear sequinned trousers again. On a more serious note, we love seeing Anton perform ballroom routines are are sure that Lesley’s acting skills will be put to good use. We cannot wait. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Louise and Kevin will be dancing the Cha Cha to ‘Flashdance… What A Feeling’ by Irene Cara (from Flashdance) 👊🏻 *fist bumps* Strictly are using Flashdance in a Movie week performance! We cannot wait. It’s going to be epic. We know that Kevin’s choreography is always brilliant so are sure this dance will be no exception. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Naga and Pasha will be dancing the Tango to ‘Theme from Mission Impossible’ by Lalo Schifrin (from Mission Impossible) – Whatever happens on Saturday we can already sense this will be a spectacular performance. We have visions of Pasha landing on the ballroom floor in an effort to pick up his glitterball trophy! We know that Pasha always choreographs great and fun routines and are very much looking forward to this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ore and Joanne will be dancing the American Smooth to ‘Singin’ In the Rain’ by Gene Kelly (from Singin’ In The Rain) Another classic performance. Last week they had a firemans pole, will they get a street lamp this week? Ore is a brilliant performer and we’re sure it will be full of flair and Joanne’s choreography always tells a great story and entertains us. We cannot wait to see what happens. We give them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tameka and Gorka will be dancing the Tango to ‘The Heat Is On’ by Glen Frey (from Beverly Hills Cop) *drools imagining Gorka in a police officer’s uniform* Tameka is a brilliant actress and we’re sure the tango will play to her strengths. She has become one of our favourites over the last 2 weeks and we are very much looking forward to this performance. It’ll definitely be a corker from team tamorka! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Will and Karen will be dancing the Salsa to ‘Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)’ by A.R. Rahman and the Pussycat Dolls (from Slumdog Millionaire) – When Strictly did a bollywood routine a few years back, we wanted to see a dance choreographed to this song. Our wish has final come true. We’re sure it’ll be a great salsaand are very much looking forward to it & hoping there are some bollywood bits in it too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

That’s what we think of this weekend’s performances. We’re sure it’ll be a blockbister of a weekend for Strictly. We love everyone this year and cannot wait to see them perform. Whose performance are you most looking forward to see this week? tell us by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below. We look forward to hearing from you.
