Strictly Support Group – Strictly Couple Weeks – Zoe and Ian – Day 7!

Yes, we’ve reached the final day in our Zoe and Ian week! *sobs*

Before we end the week we have time to share one more dance from this wonderful couple! It’s Sunday and that can mean only one thing, time to share a beautiful American Smooth to ease you into your Sunday morning!

Yes, in 2005, the American Smooth was a new dance to take the Strictly Ballroom by storm. Zoe and Ian performed a wonderful routine which truly wowed us and saw them head on their way to the Strictly Final in Series 3!

You can watch the dance below, along with all the other dances in Zoe and Ian week here!

Once you’ve watched them, we’d like you to vote in the poll below to help us decide the best dance from Zoe and Ian! Voting will remain open until 8pm tonight when we’ll reveal the winning dance in our Zoe and Ian week and will then unveil the next couple whose dances will feature in our next Strictly Couple Week:

We hope you’ve enjoyed our very first Strictly Couple Week. If you have any ideas for a couple you’d like to see feature as part of a Strictly Couple week, let us know by private messaging @scd_support Twitter or Strictly Support Group on Facebook.

Keep Voting and Dancing!

Strictly Support Group – Strictly Couple Weeks – Day 6 – Zoe and Ian

It’s Saturday which can mean one thing! It’s time for us to shake and shimmy like nobody’s watching. Yes, it’s Samba time!

Unless you’ve been in hiding over the past week, you’ll know that this week saw the launch of our Strictly Couple Weeks. This week it’s the turn of us to remember some of the wonderful dances from Zoe and Ian!

Today, we’re reliving their sambalicious *wonders if that’s a real word* Samba which is one of our all-time favourite Strictly routines! It was full of flair, feathers and fancy footwork.

We absolutely loved it and are pretty sure you will too. Here it is just for you:

Tomorrow we’ll reveal the final dance from Zoe and Ian before opening up a poll to help us decide the best Zoe and Ian dance of all time!

Don’t forget to let us know what you thought of this dance. You can comment below or tweet @scd_support to tell us what you think!

Have a samba-filled Saturday!

Strictly Support Group – Strictly Couple Weeks – Day 5 – Zoe and Ian

Over the past week we’ve started our latest challenge, The Strictly Couple Weeks challenge!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll pick one couple and will share one of their dances every day of the week. This week it’s the turn of the wonderful Zoe Ball and Ian Waite.

On Monday we started off the week with their lovely lovely foxtrot, before moving onto their dramatic Tango on Tuesday. On Wednesday it was the turn of their light, bright and quick quickstep and yesterday we took a throwback to their beautiful Rumba!

Today, we’re going back to where it all began, with their Week 1 Waltz. It proved Zoe as an elegant dancer and saw her earn the highest score on the night, a magnificent 35/40!

Not only did Zoe look stunning in that dress, but the choreography was beautiful and wonderful to watch. As Len would say, she floated across the floor like butter on a crumpet *gets hungry wanting a crumpet*

Anyway, if you missed it earlier, here it is again, just for you, Zoe and Ian’s waltz!

Tomorrow and on Sunday we’ll share two more magical moments from Zoe and Ian before opening up a poll to help us decide the best Zoe and Ian dance ever!

We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. Comment below or tweet @scd_support to let us know.

Have a fab-u-lous Friday!

Strictly Support Group – Strictly Couple Weeks – Zoe and Ian Day 4!

Unless you have been hiding under a sparkly rock, you’ll know that earlier this week we launched our latest challenge, Strictly Couple weeks.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll pick one couple each week, and every day will share one of their dances for you as our weekly Strictly fix.

This week, we have chosen the Queen of It Takes Two and Series 3 of Strictly, Zoe Ball along with the wonderful, sparkly king of Wednesday Warm-Ups, Ian Waite as our couple this week:

We started things off on Monday by showing you their Foxtrot, before moving on to THAT Tango on Tuesday and yesterday we lightened the mood with their bright and brilliant Quickstep.

Today is Throwback Thursday, and we’re reliving one of the greatest Rumbas of all time. When Zoe and Ian performed this in week 2, in 2005, they may have made a tiny slip-up, but this dance soon became one of our all-time favourite rumbas. You could tell they were the best of friends from the start, but Ian’s choreography was beautiful and Zoe mastered it perfectly even despite the tiny slip!

We loved it, and in case you missed it earlier, here it is again:

We’ll be back tomorrow to reveal another Zoe and Ian moment from the archives. On Sunday, we’ll then open up a poll for you to help us decide the best Zoe and Ian routine of all time!

Have a wonderful afternoon.

Cassie 🙂

Strictly Support Group – Strictly Couple Weeks – Zoe and Ian – Day 3!

Over the past few days, we’ve been showing you some of our favourite dances from one of our favourite Strictly couples of all time, Zoe and Ian, as part of our Strictly Couple Theme Weeks.

On Monday, we showed you Zoe and Ian’s Foxtrot and yesterday we showed you one of our all-time favourite dances of theirs, their brilliant Tango! Today it’s time to show you the third of their brilliant dances, their brilliant quickstep!

We love the quickstep and if we were on Strictly it would be our favourite dance. This dance was full of flair, and was fast and fab-u-lous! It may have been performed over 11 years ago, but when we feel sad, it’s still one dance that we go to when we need a strictly pick-me-up!

In case you missed it, here it is just for you:

Strictly Support Group – Strictly Couple Weeks – Zoe And Ian – Day 2

Yesterday, we unveiled our Strictly Couple Weeks challenge. Over the next few weeks, we’ll pick one couple from Strictly history each week. We’ll pick one of their dances every day and at the end of the week will then launch a poll where you’ll be able to help us decide the best of their dances!

Today it’s time to relive one of the greatest moments of Strictly history ever! It’s time for us to watch Zoe and Ian’s tango. It was a dance filled with passion and drama, which scored a phenomenal 38/40 when it was first performed on the Strictly floor!

It is one of our all-time favourite tangos *pulls her tango face* and for our Tango Tuesday we have chosen it for you!

Here it is just for you!

Don’t forget to pop back here tomorrow when we’ll reveal the next of Zoe and Ian’s dances!

Cassie 🙂
