It’s Wednesday and if you’re suffering from a bad case of the Hump Day blues, we’re pretty sure that the dance we shared earlier this morning will wash your blues away.
If you’ve been following our blog over the past few days, you’ll know I’ve let my 7 year old take over and we have been sharing some of our favourite Jeremy and Karen moments!
It’s day 3 today and we’re sharing their brilliant Charleston. It was the dance that earnt them 3 7s from the judges (forget the 3 from Craig!) and saw Jeremy channel his inner Fred Astaire in a Top Hat themed number. Karen’s choreography was imaginative whilst protecting and challenging Jeremy at the same time. The end result was 1 minute 40 seconds of pure entertainment and Strictly Gold! He even managed the swivel brilliantly! If you’re feeling down today, it’ll definitely make you smile.
In case you missed it earlier, here are Jeremy and Karen with their wonderful Charleston!
We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. Just tweet @scd_support or comment below to tell us. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
It’s Tuesday, and here at the Strictly Support Group, that can mean only one thing, it’s time for us to share a memorable Tango with you all.
As part of our Strictly Couple Weeks, every day this week we’ll be reliving one of Jeremy Vine and Karen Clifton’s moments. This couple have been chosen by Bella, my 7 year old Strictly fan, as in her words “Jeremy is what Strictly is all about – having fun and enjoying yourself when dancing!”
For today’s dance, we’re reliving their entertaining and terrific Tango, featuring Bertie the horse. We sat at home waiting for this dance filled with anticipation. It did not disappoint, Karen’s choreography was (as always) original and full of steps and content which Jeremy executed brillliantly. It was by far their best performance (and Bertie deserved a glittery rosette in our eyes too!) and it definitely made us smile.
In case you missed it earlier, here it is again for you all:

We’ll be back later with our quiz on twitter from 8pm. We’ll also be back tomorrow with another dance of Jeremy and Karen’s. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
It’s half-term, so for one week only, I’m letting my little Strictly Superfan, takeover our Strictly Couple Weeks and showcase the dances of our one of our all-time favourite couples.
This week, she’s chosen Jeremy and Karen! In the world of Strictly, there are dancers who excel from week one and wow us with near perfect performances, there are couples who go on a bit of a journey and improve week by week on the show and there are those who capture our hearts and make us smile with their exuberance and enthusiasm. Jeremy and Karen fitted in the final of these categories.
From week one, when we first saw them dance we fell in love with not just Karen’s amazing choreography, but their partnership. They were supportive of one another and Jeremy always looked Ike he was having the time of his life. He tried his hardest week after week, and we voted, because we could see that he was genuinely doing his best.
For Day 1 of Jeremy and Karen week, little Bella has chosen their Jive. When this dance was performed, it created a splash and made us smile, even if one judge was mean and likened Jeremy to a stork being hit by lightning! It’ll definitely cheer you up if you’re feeling down today. Here are Jeremy and Karen with their Jive:
When I asked Bella earlier what she loved most about this dance, her answer was Jeremy looked like he was having fun and I wanted to dance this dance at home in the bath too! I like it when people look like they’re having fun on Strictly because it always makes me smile.
We hope you enjoyed watching that dance. We’d love to hear what you thought of it. Just tweet @scd_support or comment below to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.
Over the past 7 days, we’ve relived some of the most magical and daring Team Glita dances. Earlier today we relived their memorable American Smooth – featuring the Rampant Crab!
Now we’ve watched all seven dances, it’s time for you to vote for your favourite Team Glita dance we’ve shown over the past week.
We know it will be a very tough decision as all 7 dances were equally brilliant, daring and fab-u-lous in their own right. We loved Gleb’s choreography and Anita’s bravery trying out some of this (death-defying) choreography. In our eyes, all 7 dances deserve a Glitterball, but only one can win.
To remind you, here are all 7 dances we’ve shared over the past 7 days:
Once you’ve watched these we’d like to you vote in this poll below to help us decide the best dance of them all. Simply vote in this poll and choose your top three. Voting will remain open until Tomorrow night at 8pm when we’ll reveal the winning dance from Team Glita!
Earlier this week, we read in the news that British TV watching habits are changing and that more people watch our favourite TV show Strictly Come Dancing than watch The Queen’s Speech. For a little fun this evening we hosted a Traditions themed chat.
We began our chat by asking you to tell us your traditions and habits when watching Strictly Come Dancing. We had some wonderful answers. Here are some of our favourites:
If you’ve been following our blog over the past few days, you’ll know we’ve been sharing a little bit of Team Glita every day! On Monday, we shared their wonderful Charleston, followed by their Ballroom Tango on Tuesday. On Wednesday as things got hotter, we watched their Paso Doble followed by their brilliant Quickstep.
Today it’s the turn of their Jive featuring yet another Gleb Special.
Not only was Anita completely fearless during her time on the show, but Gleb’s choreography was imaginative and challenging. The dance itself was packed with Jive content but also entertained and cheered us (and the judges up!) In our eyes the performance was brilliantly executed and should have got at least one 10 *awards them a posthumous 10 in their honour*
In case you missed it earlier, here is their brilliant Jive again.

For Day four of our Team Glita themed week, earlier today, we shared their joyous and wonderful Quickstep.
When it was first performed it left us with a big smile on our faces and we loved how light, bright and superfast it was.
Gleb gave Anita some challenging choreography which she executed and performed brilliantly. It was also original and inventive choreography which we loved and wanted to see more of during their journey on the show.
We love a quickstep and it always lightens the mood. In light of recent events, we felt it’d be the perfect antidote as it’s like a big hug in dance form – it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Anyway, in case you missed it earlier, here it is:

It’s the hottest day of the year for many today, and whilst we’re enjoying a nice frozen treat (magnum ice cream) we thought it’d be good to share a dance of Team Glita’s which was so hot, it caused a heatwave and for Seville to come to Blackpool.
We’re talking about their incredible Paso which rocked the Tower Ballroom in 2015. It saw Anita earn her very first 10, from Bruno, and was full of so much drama and passion we could not take our eyes off Gleb 😍 or Anita. It was a truly mesmerising dance from start to finish, filled with Spanish flair.
Paso Dobles always seem to wow even more than normal when they’re performed at Blackpool. There is something extra special about seeing Pasos performed on the Ballroom floor there and they always seem to be some of the most memorable dances.
In case you missed it earlier, here is their brilliant Paso Doble:

Yesterday we kicked our Team Glita (Gleb and Anita) themed week with their wonderful Charleston. It’s Tuesday today and that can only mean one thing for us here at the Strictly Support Group, it’s Tango Time!
Anita and Gleb were lucky enough to perform both Ballroom and Argentine Tango during their time on Strictly. Today we’ve chosen their effortlessly cool, sleek and dramatic Ballroom Tango.
We loved Gleb’s choreography which really challenged Anita but gave us some brilliant and very memorable routines. This was unlike any Ballroom Tango we’d ever seen on Strictly, but we absolutely loved it. It was dramatic but also elegant at the same time. Gleb’s challenging choreography definitely was a risk, but it paid off in our opinion and sometimes you do have to take risks to earn the public’s votes and high scores from the judges
In case you missed it earlier, here it is again, just for you:

We’ll be back tomorrow with another Team Glita fix *wonders which dance it’ll be*
