*Starts singing* It’s the final countdown duh da duh da, duh da da da da, duh da duh da, duh duh duh duh duh duh!
Yes, we’re at the semi-final stage of our Sports Champion of Champions. There are just 2 more weeks remaining to vote for the ultimate sports person! England may have been Eliminated from Euro 2016, but it doesn’t mean our sporting prowess is over this time around.
We have many more sporting events this summer, including Wimbledon finals week and the Olympics! Before all that kicks off, let’s get ready (set, go!) with some sporting action of our very own and the semi-finals of our Champion of Champions.
Over the past 6 weeks you’ve been voting for your favourites! 5 couples now remain. Tonight, one couple must go home, leaving 4 couples to fight it out for the title of being Sports Champion of Champions.
We can now reveal that your votes have been checked, verified and counted and the couple leaving the competition at the final hurdle *sobs* with the lowest votes is *drumroll and builds suspense by attempting to tap dance* Michael and Natalie. 😱😱😱
To see and vote for the couples you’d like to see in the final, click this link below. Once you’ve watched their dance, vote in the poll below. You’re voting for your favourite couple and the couples you’d most like to see in the final. You can vote for as many couples as you like once a day. Voting will remain open until next Sunday at 6pm when we’ll freeze the vote. We’ll then reveal the 3 finalists who will then compete to be crowned Sports Champion of Champions *squeals with excitement and turns into a cheerleader (without the pompoms!)* It’s going to be epic!
This week has definitely been a week of shocks for the UK. Not only have we had a shock EU Referendum result, as well as massive changes in parliament, but England’s Euro 2016 journey has abruptly come to an end thanks to Iceland (we always thought their desserts were too good to be true.)
Now it’s time to reveal our Champion of Champion results *Hands out an unlimited supply of hot chocolate for all the readers of her blog in preparation for another shock result.*
Your votes have now been checked and counted. We can now reveal that the couple with the lowest votes, leaving the competition this week are *starts a drumroll to build suspense* Series 4 Champions, Mark and Karen! 😳😱
Don’t fear ladies, we are not that mean, we won’t let Mark and Karen leave this competition without us showing you their brilliant Argentine Tango! *melts from the heat of it all*
Now, where were we? Oh yes! Time for you to watch this week’s dances. To do so, just click on the link below. Once you’ve watched all the dances you can vote using the poll below. And (we all know the most important event today is that) it’s time for us to reveal the results of our weekly Champion of Champions.
Lots of you have all voted for your favourites and this week we can reveal that we’ve used a very little and adorable helper to count the results. Yes, we’ve chosen the youngest Strictly fan in my house, Baby Elodie!
With mummy’s help she has counted your votes and we can now reveal that the couple leaving the competition with the lowest number of votes are Thom and Iveta! Their exit is as shocking as their real exit from the competition.
We’re now in week 5 of our competition so to see the remaining couples’s dances, please click the link below:

Yes, we’re almost at the halfway mark in our Sports Champion of Champions. Last week we waved goodbye to Robbie Savage and Ola Jordan *remembers Robbie and his lucious locks before crying into a pack of tissues.*
*composes herself* This week many of you have been voting, despite the kick-off of Euro 2016. Thank you all for your votes. They have been checked and verified by these two cuties. We believe they’re called Rufferees *hears the sound of tumbleweed*
We had a tie this evening between the bottom two couples, so invited you to vote for who you wanted to stay in the competition! It was between Thom and Iveta and Jade and Ian! We can now reveal the couple going home with the lowest number of votes are Jade and Ian. It’s another shock result, which was just as shocking as their exit from the competition.

This summer is set to be a sporting summer with Euro 2016, Wimbledon and the Olympics all taking place. We’re sure our summer days will be spent celebrating and if there’s one thing we love about as much as celebrating sporting success, it’s Strictly Come Dancing. It got us thinking, if Strictly did a Sports Special, we’re pretty sure the winning trophy would look a little like this:
Following on from the popularity of our most recent Strictly Support Group Champion of Champions, we’ve decided to host a sports special! Over the past 13 series of Strictly there have been some memorable sportsmen and sportswomen who have taken to the floor. Some have proven to have a natural flair, whereas others have struggled and worked hard throughout their Strictly journey.
We know how you all love to vote, so we’re giving you the chance to vote for the people you’d like to see competing in our Champion of Champions competition.
All you need to do is vote for the 5 couples you’d most like to see battle to be crowned Strictly Support Group Champion of Sports Champions. Voting will remain open until next Sunday at 6pm. The top ten couples will then compete to be crowned Champion of Champions.
We’ll then have a short break (as it’ll be Strictly Day) before we’ll officially start the competition on the 22nd May! You can vote once a day for the 5 couples you’d most like to see competing in this sports special!
Get voting folks!
