Yes, we’ve reached the end of our week dedicated to Team Pocket Rocket *hands out tissues for people feeling a tad emosh*
It’s been a week filled with wonderful dances, from their brilliant Quickstep to their Charming Charleston, Their Roarsome Salsa to their Elegant Viennese Waltz, Their dramatic Argentine Tango to their Gymnastic Cha Cha Cha.
Overall, it has been a wonderful week, and earlier today we shared the final dance of the week from this pairing – their Magical American Smooth.
It was an unusual song choice but it worked! Together they created magic on the dancefloor and they were true dance wizards!
Now, we’ve seen all the dances this week, it leaves us with one (very difficult) task! All we need you to do is watch the playlist below, then pick your top three dances from this couple by voting in the poll just below:
Now here’s the important part, the terms and conditions! Voting will remain open until 8pm tonight when we’ll reveal the winning dance along with the next couple to be in the spotlight as part of our Strictly Couple Weeks!
So earlier today we shared with you a truly roarsome and pawsome dance from Team Pocket Rocket. Yes, we reminded you of their wonderful Musicals Week Lion King inspired Salsa.
When we first watched this dance, it left us bursting with pride. Claudia shone all way through the performance, and admittedly they were the cutest pairing on the dancefloor in their lion costumes, but the Salsa was filled with content and lots of great and fearless tricks.
They truly deserved their very first 10 from Bruno, and in our eyes the other judges should have awarded them at 10 too. I remember my 6 year old watching the dance and saying “Craig had better give them a 10 because if they’re lions they could eat him and that wouldn’t be very nice!” Sadly, some things never change and Craig’s 10 paddle stayed gathering dust under the judges’ desk, but in our eyes it wll always be a perfect 10 and one of those moments when music, concept, costume, choreography and performance all come together to give a magical moment on the Strictly Dancefloor.
In case you missed it earlier, here are Claudia and Aj with their Salsa:

It’s Day 5 of our Team Pocket Rocket themed Strictly Couple Week. We can hardly believe we’re heading towards the end of another week, but today, we’re watching a dance which really took our breath away and gave us goosebumps.
Earlier today we showed you their beautiful Viennese Waltz which got us and the judges in a spin. Viennese Waltzes could be boring with a lack of steps, but all the Strictly Pros always know how to make us fall in love with a dance with some brilliant choreography.
This was one such example, it was elegant, romantic and just so adorable we may have just melted into a mush on the floor in our living room! In our eyes it also deserved at least one ten *take note judges*
In case you missed it earlier, here are Claudia and AJ with their beautiful Viennese Waltz. We hope you enjoy it:

It’s Thursday and that means time to take a throwback back to Claudia and AJ’s very first dance, their Cha Cha Cha.
As soon as we heard that Claudia would be on Strictly, it got us excited. As a gymnast we expected her to perform many tricks. Ok, so they may not have been Len’s cup of tea, but they definitely added to their performance.
But, when we first watched this dance, it wasn’t just the tricks that impressed us, it was Claudia’s technical dance ability as well as the risks they took. The (what’s become known in our house as) AJ Special at the end was a daring risk to take for any professional and celebrity partnership, not least in week 1, and it really paid off.
We loved their costumes and the fact their dance was set to one of my little girl’s favourite songs. It did mean she was singing all way through the performance but by the end she did tell me, that dance was “gymnastic fantastic mummy!”
Overall, we loved this dance and if you missed it earlier, here it is again just for you:

So, yesterday we shared Claudia and AJ’s truly awesome Argentine Tango. Today, it’s the turn of their cheeky Charleston, performed on Movies Week – Week 3 this year.
When we first heard the theme of their Charleston, Bugsy Malone we were extremely excited and this did not disappoint. Credit to the Strictly producer who came up with this idea, because it was truly genius and matched their personalities and youthfulness perfectly!
It was a super-fast Charleston with some wonderful tricks and a brilliant swivel action. Claudia coped with the choreography wonderfully and in our eyes it was perfect and deserving of a 10! The music, hair, make-up and costumes were as ever truly brilliant and captured that 1920s and Bugsy Malone feel perfectly.
We loved it and in case you missed it earlier, here it is again:

So, yesterday we launched Team Pocket Rocket week, sharing their light, bright and cheery quickstep.
Today things are getting a little sultry with their Argentine Tango.
This was a dance which was everything we expected from an Argentine Tango but it gave so much more, especially with that epic lift!
Once again, hair, make-up and costume pulled together to produce a wonderful look and the song was a song we’d never have imagined being used for an Argentine Tango. That being said, it worked, and worked really well.
Claudia performed the dance really well. It was technically precise and one of those dances where the passion left us mesmerised. We were shocked when there were no 10s.We weren’t alone in our shock, as Claudia (Winkleman) did ask the judges that week what Claudia had to do to achieve a 10. The next week all our dance dreams were answered when they achieved their first 10 of the competition with a truly roar-some Salsa!
Earlier we shared this stunning dance on our twitter and Facebook pages. If you didn’t see it earlier, here it is again for your eyes only:

Last night we revealed the next couple to be in the spotlight as part of our Strictly Couple Weeks.
We were very excited to announce that the next couple in the spotlight are Team Pocket Rocket – aka Claudia and AJ.
We loved the energy that these two brought to the competition each week. They were young and whoever matched them together deserves a medal because you could tell with each dance their friendship grew and grew even stronger!
For day 1, we’ve chosen their light, bright and fab-u-lous quickstep. OK, it was the dance that saw them bow out of the competition before they’d performed what would have most definitely have been an acrobatic Showdance, but it just showed how far Claudia had come on her Strictly journey. Her confidence and performance skill had grown no-end and this dance was so fast, they flew across the floor faster than Len could pickle his walnuts!
We loved the whole feel and quality of the dance and in our eyes it deserved a perfect 40! The music was uplifting, as too was the choreography and Claudia’s dress gave us serious Christmas Party dress envy. In case you missed it earlier, here they are with their wonderful dance!
