It’s Day3 of the Pro Rehearsals and today we had the first group photo of our Pro Dancers looking truly fab-u-lous:
There has been much excitement and what seems to be a reunion (of the 3 musketeers and Gorka) taking place in Pro Rehearsals:
We’ve also had wedding gifts for our newlyweds:
There has been celebration after rehearsals too (and they sure deserve it after a day full of dancing:)
That ends tonight’s bulletin! We’re back tomorrow for another News at Ten-ish!
It’s Day 3 of our Countdown to Strictly Challenge and today we’re sharing our favourite Last Dances.
As you know we’re prone to emotional outbursts watching strictly and sometimes when a couple takes to the floor for the last time we have to reach for the box of glitterball tissues.
Last year, every couple impressed us so saying goodbye became one of the most difficult tasks. There were many last dances which were our favourites but today we’ve chosen Claudia and AJ’s Quickstep which was our favourite last dance of 2016.
It was a dance which not only showcased Claudia’s technical skill and speed as a dancer but also her progress and improvement as a performer. It was their last dance but is just pure joy in our eyes. We loved this dance and in case you missed it earlier here it is again, just for you…
We want to hear your favourite last dance from a couple in 2016. Tell us by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below. We look forward to hearing from you.
It’s Day 3 of our Mark and Karen themed week, and today we’re Waltzing on a Wednesday with one of all-time favourite Viennese Waltzes.
When Mark and Karen performed this dance in series 4, we felt it was truly enchanting. Karen’s dress gave us serious dress envy and the choreography and feel of the dance were truly magical.
It became one of our go-to Strictly moments when we’re needing a pick-me-up, and we’re pretty sure that today this dance will cure your hump day blues.
In case you missed it earlier, here are Mark and Karen with their fab-u-lous Viennese Waltz.
Once you’ve watched this dance, we’d love to hear what you thought of it. You can tweet us @scd_support or comment below to let us know what you thought.

So, yesterday we shared Claudia and AJ’s truly awesome Argentine Tango. Today, it’s the turn of their cheeky Charleston, performed on Movies Week – Week 3 this year.
When we first heard the theme of their Charleston, Bugsy Malone we were extremely excited and this did not disappoint. Credit to the Strictly producer who came up with this idea, because it was truly genius and matched their personalities and youthfulness perfectly!
It was a super-fast Charleston with some wonderful tricks and a brilliant swivel action. Claudia coped with the choreography wonderfully and in our eyes it was perfect and deserving of a 10! The music, hair, make-up and costumes were as ever truly brilliant and captured that 1920s and Bugsy Malone feel perfectly.
We loved it and in case you missed it earlier, here it is again:

It’s Wednesday and today is officially #WaltzingWednesday. As part of our Strictly Couple Week dedicated to Colin and Erin, today we’ve chosen to relive their beautiful, romantic, elegant, floaty *runs out of adjectives to describe its amazingness* Waltz!
Word of warning to the Strictly producers, any Whitney Houston song does tend to turn me into a blubbering mess, but every dance performed to a Whitney Houston song has been filled with so much emotion and so beautifully phrased. They’ve been so beautiful that all of these dances (including today’s dance fix) are on my top list of all time favourite dances.
Earlier we shared this dance which was technically perfect. It was so good, Colin looked like a professional in our eyes.
In case you missed it earlier, here are Colin and Erin with their wonderful Waltz! Have a brilliant #WaltzingWednesday.
We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. Simply tweet @scd_support or comment below to let us know.
It’s Wednesday and whilst we try and relieve our hump day blues by dreaming of dancing with Gorka or Pasha, today we’re reliving another of Katie and Anton’s wonderful dances.
It’s a dance that filled us with joy and made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It also gave us goosebumps from the moment we first saw it.
Anton saw himself at the top of the leaderboard for the first time in forever and it became one of the dances of 2015 for us.
Yes, we’re referring to their dreamy Viennese Waltz. We’re still a bit gutted we never got to see it in the final *stomps feet like a grumpy toddler* but are pretty sure that by watching it again today this will make up for it!
In case you missed it earlier, here they are in their dreamy Viennese Waltz:

It’s Wednesday and if you’re suffering from a bad case of the Hump Day blues, we’re pretty sure that the dance we shared earlier this morning will wash your blues away.
If you’ve been following our blog over the past few days, you’ll know I’ve let my 7 year old take over and we have been sharing some of our favourite Jeremy and Karen moments!
It’s day 3 today and we’re sharing their brilliant Charleston. It was the dance that earnt them 3 7s from the judges (forget the 3 from Craig!) and saw Jeremy channel his inner Fred Astaire in a Top Hat themed number. Karen’s choreography was imaginative whilst protecting and challenging Jeremy at the same time. The end result was 1 minute 40 seconds of pure entertainment and Strictly Gold! He even managed the swivel brilliantly! If you’re feeling down today, it’ll definitely make you smile.
In case you missed it earlier, here are Jeremy and Karen with their wonderful Charleston!

It’s the hottest day of the year for many today, and whilst we’re enjoying a nice frozen treat (magnum ice cream) we thought it’d be good to share a dance of Team Glita’s which was so hot, it caused a heatwave and for Seville to come to Blackpool.
We’re talking about their incredible Paso which rocked the Tower Ballroom in 2015. It saw Anita earn her very first 10, from Bruno, and was full of so much drama and passion we could not take our eyes off Gleb 😍 or Anita. It was a truly mesmerising dance from start to finish, filled with Spanish flair.
Paso Dobles always seem to wow even more than normal when they’re performed at Blackpool. There is something extra special about seeing Pasos performed on the Ballroom floor there and they always seem to be some of the most memorable dances.
In case you missed it earlier, here is their brilliant Paso Doble:

It’s now Day 3 of our Team GG themed Couple Week. On Monday we showed you their Charleston full of risky Chicago-inspired Choreography which wowed us and yesterday we shared their ghoulishly good Ghostbusters-inspired Tango.
Today, we’re sharing a dance where Georgia really started to shine on the Strictly floor. It was their superfast Quickstep from week 4. You may, or may not, remember but this was the week following the week where Len gave Giovanni a telling off for his lack of choreographed steps in their Rumba.
We have always loved Giovanni’s choreography, but with this dance he put everything he could into his choreography and Georgia performed the steps she was given brilliantly. The music was super fast and the pair of them flew across the floor like little dancing angels. It was a moment where Georgia began to shine and showed that she was a contender for the Glitterball. She executed the choreography with precision and it gave an overall performance value that saw them “reach for the stars (and the glitterball)”
We loved the whole routine and are pretty sure you will too. In case you missed it earlier, here it is just for you:

Unless, you’ve been hiding under a glitter covered rock over the past few days, you’ll know that we’ve been putting some of our all-time favourite couples in the spotlight, with our Strictly Couple Weeks.
Every week we’ll pick one couple and share with you one of their dances every day, before putting our choices to the public vote at the end of the week. This week, it’s 2016 Finalist and Samba Sensation, Danny and Oti.
Yes, their Samba was amazing as too was their Charleston, but one dance which in our eyes should have been scored much higher was their impressive, fast and near-perfect quickstep.
When it was performed in week 4, it really lifted our mood and brushed all our moving house cares away! It was fast, fun and fab-u-lous. Oti’s choreography was original and matched the music perfectly. The concept of the whole dance had a feel of 1940s Hollywood Glamour and Danny captured the character of the dance as well as mastering the steps. For us, it is one of our favourite dances of Strictly 2016. Here it is just for you:
