It’s the end of the first week of Strictly Pro Rehearsals and it would seem that things have gone swimmingly (without any swimming whatsoever!)
Earlier today we had this lovely group shot of the pros:
As well as dancing, our pros have been resting too:
We also saw that one of our new pros is settling into the Strictly family very well too:
We also had some exciting news which is this….
Strictly is officially on its way! We cannot wait but are pretty sure the 1st celebrity will be a yoof! Who do you think it’ll be?
Tell us by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
That’s it for the first week. We’re back on Monday for our next bulletin. Hope you can join us then!
For those of you who follow us on Social Media, you’ll know, for the next month, we’ll be counting down to Strictly 2017, by reminiscing over some of our favourite Strictly moments from the past 12 months.
Today, we shared our favourite Perfect 10 Dance. There were many fantastic dances that scored a perfect 40, but today we’ve had to choose Danny and Oti’s Showdance. My 7 year old called it “the one where Oti flew and they did lots of Somersaults!”
For us, it reminded us of Oti’s wonderful choreography throughout last series and was like no other showdance we’d ever seen. It was daring and in some places death-defying! It really did impress us. In our eyes it was a moment of pure perfection. If you missed it earlier, here are Danny and Oti with their showdance:
We’d love to hear if you also loved this dance. If not, what was your favourite perfect dance of 2016? Comment below, tweet @scd_support or just holler to let us know!
We look forward to hearing from you.
It’s Day 5 of our Team Pocket Rocket themed Strictly Couple Week. We can hardly believe we’re heading towards the end of another week, but today, we’re watching a dance which really took our breath away and gave us goosebumps.
Earlier today we showed you their beautiful Viennese Waltz which got us and the judges in a spin. Viennese Waltzes could be boring with a lack of steps, but all the Strictly Pros always know how to make us fall in love with a dance with some brilliant choreography.
This was one such example, it was elegant, romantic and just so adorable we may have just melted into a mush on the floor in our living room! In our eyes it also deserved at least one ten *take note judges*
In case you missed it earlier, here are Claudia and AJ with their beautiful Viennese Waltz. We hope you enjoy it:

It’s Friday and as we approach the weekend it’s time to chill out and feel all warm and fuzzy watching a fab-u-lous Foxtrot.
When Katie and Anton performed a cabaret themed Foxtrot in 2015, we watched on at home and may have even given them a standing ovation. We’d have loved to have seen it again (not in the dance-off but as an encore) as the whole feel of the dance was, in our eyes, west-end quality.
It had class and elegance (as did all their ballroom dances) but the performance factor for Musicals week was top-notch and Katie’s dress gave us serious dress envy *desperately seeks a feathery number even if it does make me look like Big Bird*
We loved the whole performance. If you missed it earlier, here they are again with their Foxtrot.
We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. Simply comment below or tweet @scd_support to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.
It’s almost the weekend and for today’s dance as part of Jeremy and Karen week, we’re going underground. No, we’re not going on the tube, but we are reliving their quickstep.
Ok, it was the last dance that Jeremy performed on the show *sobs* but if truth be told it was a brilliant dance and he left the show on a high.
There was a lot of technical dancing and steps which he performed brilliantly. We have a feeling the song choice may not have been most appropriate for a quickstep, but once again Karen’s choreography was fab-u-lous.
In case you missed it earlier, here they are with their Quickstep.
We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. Simply tweet @scd_support or comment below to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!
It’s nearly the weekend and if there’s one thing we love doing here at Strictly Support Group HQ, it’s getting ready for the weekend with a Friday night Movie Marathon. We also prefer the Strictly variety, so for today’s Strictly fix for Team GG week we’re reliving their beauty of Foxtrot from Musicals Week.
Yes, it was the week where Georgia morphed into Belle. Giovanni became the dashing prince and they foxtrotted around the floor surrounded by teapots, clocks, candlesticks and teacups. It was one of those Strictly moments that gave us goosebumps and left us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside!
Ok, it may have landed them in the dance-off *wipes this from her memory* but we’re pretty sure that the British public only put them there because they loved the dance so much, they wanted to see it again!
In case you missed it earlier, here it is just for you all again:
We’d love to hear what you thought of this routine, just tell us by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
It’s Day 5 in our Team Doti week and today we’ve got that Friday feeling! It’s time for us to share a dance which had us jumping for joy and even attempting the splits (don’t try this at home folks!) Yes, we’re remembering their brilliant Jive!
It was a dance that truly amazed us. It was fast, fun and fab-u-lous! Oti’s choreography is world-class and it showcased Danny’s ability as a dancer. The whole concept of the dance and skill and technique was as good as some of the professional group dances we’ve seen!
There were moments that shocked and surprised us, including Danny’s splits and split jump! The music made us want to get up and dance and the costumes and outfits were just gorgeous!
We loved it and we’re pretty sure that today it will make you smile however your day pans out!
We’d love to hear what you thought of the dance. Tell us by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below. We look forward to hearing from you.
Over the past week we’ve started our latest challenge, The Strictly Couple Weeks challenge!
Over the next few weeks, we’ll pick one couple and will share one of their dances every day of the week. This week it’s the turn of the wonderful Zoe Ball and Ian Waite.
On Monday we started off the week with their lovely lovely foxtrot, before moving onto their dramatic Tango on Tuesday. On Wednesday it was the turn of their light, bright and quick quickstep and yesterday we took a throwback to their beautiful Rumba!
Today, we’re going back to where it all began, with their Week 1 Waltz. It proved Zoe as an elegant dancer and saw her earn the highest score on the night, a magnificent 35/40!
Not only did Zoe look stunning in that dress, but the choreography was beautiful and wonderful to watch. As Len would say, she floated across the floor like butter on a crumpet *gets hungry wanting a crumpet*
Anyway, if you missed it earlier, here it is again, just for you, Zoe and Ian’s waltz!
Tomorrow and on Sunday we’ll share two more magical moments from Zoe and Ian before opening up a poll to help us decide the best Zoe and Ian dance ever!
We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. Comment below or tweet @scd_support to let us know.
Have a fab-u-lous Friday!
So yesterday we asked you to tell us the things that make you a Strictly fan! We know that we’re strictly fans by the number of sparkly and fab-u-lous objects in our house, so today we’d like you to share a fab-u-lous object that takes pride of place in your home!
I am a very girly girl and love my handbags, so when my lovely husband bought me this as a New Year’s present I was in sparkly heaven. It has come with me to LA, on nights out and even got an outing to the Strictly tour!
What’s your Strictly fab-u-lous possession? Share a pic with us on Twitter and Instagram @scd_support or comment below to tell us. We look forward to hearing from you!
We’re so excited and we just can’t hide it, there are just under 3 weeks until the Strictly 2014 Launch shows and our lovely professional dancers are working harder than ever to get ready for some amazing group routines this series. It’d seem they’re literally burning the floor (someone call the fire brigade!)
It’d also seem that Friday was a day full of love and that, although hard at work, our pros managed to celebrate Natalie Lowe’s birthday with a very yummy looking cake (and flowers) thanks to the Strictly fairies🍰😋
The very same fairies also delivered the lovely Robin some get well soon flowers 💐
Friday’s loveliness in the warm, fuzzy, glittery world of Strictly also continued with our professional dancers sharing great pictures like these which gave us that Friday feeling. We didn’t even have to raid our chocolate box for a Crunchie. These pictures really made us smile:
It’d also seem that after dancing, cake eating and modelling..
It all got too much for one of our pros who had to take a nap…
We’d have been tired too, Karen, but hope you have a relaxing weekend.
And those are the headlines for today. We’ll be back on Monday for our next Strictly News Update. In case you miss us, in the meantime, here are some cute canines to look at…
