Foxtrot Friday – A Gem Of A Performance!

We love anything shiny and sparkly! We’re not materialistic but could go as far as saying diamonds are a girl’s best friend (sorry best friends, we love you just as much as diamonds and Strictly Come Dancing!)

Today’s Foxtrot Friday clearly showed this. It was a sparkling gem of a performance from Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev.

We loved this dance for several reasons:

1) It had Pasha in it! We love sparkly costumes, especially when they have fringing.

2) Pasha was dancing  The music was unique and unusual and surprisingly fitted a foxtrot really well in our opinion

3) Did we mention that it had Pasha dancing in it? Pasha also choreographed a beautiful dance which Caroline performed brilliantly.

We loved this routine and hope you will too. It was a sparkling gem that helped this couple win the most sparkly trophy in the whole world! Here are Caroline and Pasha with their fab-u-lous Foxtrot.

We’d love to hear what you thought of it. Tweet @scd_support or comment below to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.

Foxtrot Friday – A Floral Delight For You All!

There are several reasons we’re happy today:

Reason 1: The Sun Is Shining β˜€οΈ

Reason 2: Summer Is Well and Truly Here (Finally!) πŸ’

Reason 3: My Hayfever Has Disappeared! (Thank you Hay-max and local honey. Hoorah, no more panda eye disasters for me! 🐼)

As my hayfever has been cured, I can finally show you a dance with flowers in it which won’t make me sneeze! 🌷

For today’s Foxtrot Friday, we’re watching a fab-u-lous floral foxtrot from Thom and Iveta.

When we first watched this dance we thought it was adorable! It had the perfect blend with some lovely foxtrot elements as welll as some crowd-pleasing elements.

The dance showcased Thom’s skill and showed how far he’d progressed in the competition with Iveta.

The music was the sort of tune that makes you smile no matter what and the costumes were beautiful (we loved Iveta’s dress!)

The concept and choreography behind the dance were truly brilliant and credit must go to Iveta and the production team behind Strictly as it was delightful!

We loved this routine and hope you will too. Here are Thom and Iveta with their wonderful Foxtrot. For those of you suffering from hayfever, we’re also providing you with some tissues too! We hope you enjoy this dance.

Now you’ve watched this dance, we’d love to hear what you thought of it. You can tweet us @scd_support or comment below to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly – Z is for Zendaya!

I like writing stories, so today’s blog post is a story which mummy helped me write a little a lot!

Once upon a time, in a land far far away called America, there lived a beautiful princess called Zendaya who was always smiling and happy. One day, she was invited to appear on a magical show called Dancing with the Stars where she was paired with a Russian Prince called Val. They spent many weeks in the magical ballroom, became great friends and wowed the wise judges and audience with their wonderful dancing.

Zendaya always wore beautiful dresses and one week, she wowed the judges and audience with her magical Foxtrot even scoring a 10 from Len:

She soon became the princess of the Ballroom and went all the way to the final, but didn’t win the treasured glitterball. She did win a great friend in Val and lived happily ever after in the Dancing With the Stars archives.

The End!

We’d love to hear what you thought of that magical dance. You can tweet us @scd_support or comment below. Look forward to hearing from you!

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly. S is for Scott Mills

There are lots of things beginning with the letter S on Strictly. Sequins, Sparkles, Strictly, Salsa, Shoes, Samba… *scratches head.* A famous Samba was performed by another S who became a crab on Strictly 2014. Today’s Strictly fix is brought to you by Scott Mills and Ariel from Grimsby Joanne Clifton.

As it’s Friday, mummy said I need to choose a Foxtrot so I’ve chosen his spooky halloween foxtrot. I liked this dance for several reasons:

1) I liked Joanne’s outfit because she looked like my Monster High Doll. She can bend her back more than my dolly too, she must be magical!

2) Scott looked like Len. I think that scared Craig so he didn’t give them a 10.

3) They tried and had fun and I thought it looked really good. I gave them a 10! I don’t know why the judges didn’t like it, I think they need to practice spinning on the floor because it’s lots of fun.

4) I liked the music. I can’t click my fingers yet, mummy is teaching me how to click your fingers now.

I really liked Scott because he dressed up as a crab because he tried his hardest and him and Joanne from Grimsby Ariel from Grimsby looked like they were great friends! I wasn’t happy that they went home, because I voted lots and lots of times for them and think Craig should have let Scott and Joanne dance one more dance.

Here are Scott and Joanne with their spooky and frightening *thinks, they’re not scary at all* Foxtrot. Have a lovely afternoon and enjoy watching it:

I’d love to hear what you thought of that dance. Tweet me @scd_support or comment below. I look forward to hearing from you.

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly – L is for Len!

On Strictly, there is one judge who is always kind to the couples. It’s Len! He can be grumpy sometimes, but he always says funny things like winner, winner, chicken dinner and yum, yum pig’s bum. I think he secretly likes animals like me! I like chicken, but I’m not sure what a Pig’s bum would taste like. It doesn’t sound very nice.

Len has been a judge on every series of Strictly. He must be really old now! He also judges in America so has to fly between America and London when both series are on! That sounds like hard work.

I like Len because he’s fair and is never cruel to our couples. Even when Craig was horrible to Ariel from Grimsby and Scott during their Crab Routine, Len could see they tried their best, and said nice things to them.

Len also knows his stuff and knows how to dance ballroom and latin. Mummy says he used to do a masterclass on It Takes Two every week! That sounds like a lot of fun.

I also like Len because his name rhymes with ten! He also gives out a lot of sev-erns, which are very good scores, unlike the scores that some of the other judges give.

As it’s Friday, we need to show you a Foxtrot. Over the last 11 years, Len has given out a Len-Ten to sev-ern Foxtrots. We’re pretty sure, if Len were to choose a Foxtrot Friday, I think he’d pick these dances if he were given the chance to choose a Foxtrot Friday:

What are  your favourite Len moments? Let me know by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below!

I’ll be back tomorrow with the next letter in my Strictly A-Z. Hope to see you then!

30 Day Challenge – Day 5 – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly. E is for…

My mummy is really silly sometimes!

This morning, I asked her what word beginning with E she felt best summed up Strictly. She told me Elephant! 🐘

I’ve never seen elephants on Strictly before but I think if they did, they’d dance like this:
I then asked her if she was sure and she told me that she meant elegant, silly mummy!

Today’s post is brought to you by the letter E. E is for Elegant! Mummy told me what this word meant and I think there have been lots of elephant elegant routines on Strictly.

For me, the Foxtrot is the most elegant. It looks simple and always looks good on the Strictly dancefloor.

My favourite Foxtrot is this one from Frankie and Kevin last year. I liked it because it looked fab-u-lous on the dancefloor. My ballet teacher always tells me that we need to be graceful like swans and they looked graceful.

I liked Frankie’s dress and wonder if she’ll let me borrow it for Jasmine’s party on Sunday. It also had lots of food in the dance. I like picnics *begs mummy to take her for a picnic next week* and cake! Here are Frankie and Kevin with their Foxtrot for today’s Foxtrot Friday! E is for Elegant:

I hope you enjoyed that dance. I’d like to know which Foxtrots you think are most Elegant on Strictly. Let me know by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below. I’ll be back tomorrow for another dance!   Bella!

Strictly Support Group – The Election (Part 2)

*Practises her best geordie accent* Day two in the Strictly Support Group Election. *Coughs, reverting back to her London roots* It’s Day two in the Strictly Support Group Election, and it’s also Friday which means one thing, it’s time for your weekly Foxtrot fix.

When looking through the archives we came across this beautiful dance from Strictly 2007 champion, Alesha DIxon and Matthew Cutler. It gave us goosebumps, made our eyes leak (a little) and showed Alesha was a true contender. Even though the dance didn’t quite go to plan, they made it work and as the audience, we didn’t even notice, which in itself is pretty amazing.

The whole routine looked effortless, ethereal and elegant. We loved this dance and hope you will too. Here are Alesha and Matthew with their fab-u-lous Foxtrot. We hope you enjoy it:

We’d love to hear what you thought of this routine. You can tweet us @scd_support or comment below to let us know.

So the second dance in our election has been chosen. Alesha and Matthew’s Foxtrot joins Chelsee and Pasha’s Quickstep as candidates for the Strictly Support Group Election. Who will join them tomorrow? Keep an eye on here and on twitter to find out.

Foxtrot Friday – The Battle of the BublΓ©s

The words Dance-Off in the World of Strictly are as ominous as “He Who Must Not Be Named” in Harry Potter. We know over the years there have been thousands of routines which we have loved watching on our favourite show. They have had lovely dancing, great music and amazing choreography.  We love a friendly bit of competition, so today we’re hosting the first (brace yourselves!) Strictly Support Group Foxtrot Friday Battle of the Bubles!

We’re showing you two fantastic Foxtrot routines, both of which feature songs of Mr Buble himself. All you have to do is vote for your favourite in the poll.
Today’s dances are:
Mark and Iveta’s Beautiful Foxtrot

Ali and Brian’s Wonderful Foxtrot.
Just vote for your favourite in the poll below. We’ll reveal the results at 7.30pm. Let’s hope there’s not a heartache tonight, or we’ll start crying a river over you *prepares her reading audience by supplying kleenex*
Have a beautiful day!

Foxtrot Friday – A Ray Of Sunshine For You This International Day of Happiness!

It’s International Day of Happiness today, so we’re celebrating in the way we know best, by watching some of our favourite ever Strictly moments. There are very very few moments on Strictly that don’t make us smile (Craig being harsh to our couples and the dreaded Elimination being the only two we can think of) but of all the dances to make us feel happiest, the Foxtrot has to be the smiliest dance which makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I am very indecisive, and needed a little help, so I asked my almost 5 year old to help me pick today’s Foxtrot Friday, and she chose this wonderful dance from Frankie Bridge and Kevin Clifton.

She is a massive Kevin from Grimsby fan, but loved this dance because it reminded her of Summer, which makes her happy. She also liked it because they looked like they were having fun and Frankie’s dress made her look like a princess.

Watching this dance again we think it’s a great choice, especially for International Day Of Happiness. It is a dance which is a ray of sunshine, a pure joy to watch and will put a smile on even the grumpiest person’s face, take note Craig Revel-Horwood.

We loved it and hope you do to. We’d love to hear what you thought of it. Let us know by commenting below. Also, let us know your your Strictly moments of happiness ahead of tonight’s twitter chat. We’ll then compile your suggestions into a poll to decide the ultimate Strictly happiness moment with the results being revealed on Saturday evening.

From all at the Strictly Support Group, we wish you a very happy International Day of Happiness.
