The Countdown to Strictly Challenge – Day 10

It’s Day 10 of our Countdown to Strictly Challenge and today we’re sharing one of our favourite ever ballroom dances. We’re sharing a Foxtrot which left us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

We’re sharing Judge Rinder and Oksana’s beautiful dance.

There were many fab-u-lous Foxtrots during Strictly 2016, but this one stands out with us for one reason…. Judge Rinder’s smile! Every step Judge Rinder took on the floor, he had the biggest smile, and his grin was even wider than The Cheshire Cat (who’d got the cream in this dance.)

It gave a fuzzy, warm, loveliness to his performance, which made us love him as a contestant even more.

As well as his smile, the dance was technically brilliant and Oksana’s choreography protected the Judge well!

We loved this dance. In case you missed it earlier, here it is again:

We want to hear your favourite Foxtrot of 2016! Tell us by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below. We look forward to hearing from you.

Strictly Support Group – Strictly Couple Weeks – Katie and Anton – Day 5

It’s Friday and as we approach the weekend it’s time to chill out and feel all warm and fuzzy watching a fab-u-lous Foxtrot.

When Katie and Anton performed a cabaret themed Foxtrot in 2015, we watched on at home and may have even given them a standing ovation. We’d have loved to have seen it again (not in the dance-off but as an encore) as the whole feel of the dance was, in our eyes, west-end quality.

It had class and elegance (as did all their ballroom dances) but the performance factor for Musicals week was top-notch and Katie’s dress gave us serious dress envy *desperately seeks a feathery number even if it does make me look like Big Bird*

We loved the whole performance. If you missed it earlier, here they are again with their Foxtrot.

We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. Simply comment below or tweet @scd_support to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.

Strictly Support Group – Strictly Couple Weeks – Georgia and Giovanni – Day 5

It’s nearly the weekend and if there’s one thing we love doing here at Strictly Support Group HQ, it’s getting ready for the weekend with a Friday night Movie Marathon. We also prefer the Strictly variety, so for today’s Strictly fix for Team GG week we’re reliving their beauty of Foxtrot from Musicals Week.

Yes, it was the week where Georgia morphed into Belle. Giovanni became the dashing prince and they foxtrotted around the floor surrounded by teapots, clocks, candlesticks and teacups. It was one of those Strictly moments that gave us goosebumps and left us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside!

Ok, it may have landed them in the dance-off *wipes this from her memory* but we’re pretty sure that the British public only put them there because they loved the dance so much, they wanted to see it again!

In case you missed it earlier, here it is just for you all again:

We’d love to hear what you thought of this routine, just tell us by tweeting @scd_support or commenting below. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Foxtrot Friday – A Gem Of A Performance!

We love anything shiny and sparkly! We’re not materialistic but could go as far as saying diamonds are a girl’s best friend (sorry best friends, we love you just as much as diamonds and Strictly Come Dancing!)

Today’s Foxtrot Friday clearly showed this. It was a sparkling gem of a performance from Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev.

We loved this dance for several reasons:

1) It had Pasha in it! We love sparkly costumes, especially when they have fringing.

2) Pasha was dancing  The music was unique and unusual and surprisingly fitted a foxtrot really well in our opinion

3) Did we mention that it had Pasha dancing in it? Pasha also choreographed a beautiful dance which Caroline performed brilliantly.

We loved this routine and hope you will too. It was a sparkling gem that helped this couple win the most sparkly trophy in the whole world! Here are Caroline and Pasha with their fab-u-lous Foxtrot.

We’d love to hear what you thought of it. Tweet @scd_support or comment below to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.

Take Your Dog To Work Day – A Strictly Support Group Take On Events!

They say, never work with children or animals! Having worked with children, we know it’s not that bad. We’ve never worked with animals before, but imagine it’d be relaxing and filled with hugs.

Today is take your dog to work day. Or in Anton’s case, deal with two petrified dalmatians live on national TV! Yes, our furry canine companions have made appearances on Strictly too.

Over the last 12 series, we have seen 3 canine companions (Toto, Perdita and Perdy) play an integral part in performances.

We’d love to find out from you which canine companion deserved the golden bone and which one was in the dog house. Watch the videos below, then vote for your favourite in the poll. We’ll reveal the winner at 7.30pm tonight!

Get voting people (and canine companions!)

Foxtrot Friday – A Floral Delight For You All!

There are several reasons we’re happy today:

Reason 1: The Sun Is Shining โ˜€๏ธ

Reason 2: Summer Is Well and Truly Here (Finally!) ๐Ÿ’

Reason 3: My Hayfever Has Disappeared! (Thank you Hay-max and local honey. Hoorah, no more panda eye disasters for me! ๐Ÿผ)

As my hayfever has been cured, I can finally show you a dance with flowers in it which won’t make me sneeze! ๐ŸŒท

For today’s Foxtrot Friday, we’re watching a fab-u-lous floral foxtrot from Thom and Iveta.

When we first watched this dance we thought it was adorable! It had the perfect blend with some lovely foxtrot elements as welll as some crowd-pleasing elements.

The dance showcased Thom’s skill and showed how far he’d progressed in the competition with Iveta.

The music was the sort of tune that makes you smile no matter what and the costumes were beautiful (we loved Iveta’s dress!)

The concept and choreography behind the dance were truly brilliant and credit must go to Iveta and the production team behind Strictly as it was delightful!

We loved this routine and hope you will too. Here are Thom and Iveta with their wonderful Foxtrot. For those of you suffering from hayfever, we’re also providing you with some tissues too! We hope you enjoy this dance.

Now you’ve watched this dance, we’d love to hear what you thought of it. You can tweet us @scd_support or comment below to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you.

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly – Z is for Zendaya!

I like writing stories, so today’s blog post is a story which mummy helped me write a little a lot!

Once upon a time, in a land far far away called America, there lived a beautiful princess called Zendaya who was always smiling and happy. One day, she was invited to appear on a magical show called Dancing with the Stars where she was paired with a Russian Prince called Val. They spent many weeks in the magical ballroom, became great friends and wowed the wise judges and audience with their wonderful dancing.

Zendaya always wore beautiful dresses and one week, she wowed the judges and audience with her magical Foxtrot even scoring a 10 from Len:

She soon became the princess of the Ballroom and went all the way to the final, but didn’t win the treasured glitterball. She did win a great friend in Val and lived happily ever after in the Dancing With the Stars archives.

The End!

We’d love to hear what you thought of that magical dance. You can tweet us @scd_support or comment below. Look forward to hearing from you!

30 Day Challenge – Bella’s A to Z of Strictly. S is for Scott Mills

There are lots of things beginning with the letter S on Strictly. Sequins, Sparkles, Strictly, Salsa, Shoes, Samba… *scratches head.* A famous Samba was performed by another S who became a crab on Strictly 2014. Today’s Strictly fix is brought to you by Scott Mills and Ariel from Grimsby Joanne Clifton.

As it’s Friday, mummy said I need to choose a Foxtrot so I’ve chosen his spooky halloween foxtrot. I liked this dance for several reasons:

1) I liked Joanneโ€™s outfit because she looked like my Monster High Doll. She can bend her back more than my dolly too, she must be magical!

2) Scott looked like Len. I think that scared Craig so he didnโ€™t give them a 10.

3) They tried and had fun and I thought it looked really good. I gave them a 10! I donโ€™t know why the judges didnโ€™t like it, I think they need to practice spinning on the floor because itโ€™s lots of fun.

4) I liked the music. I canโ€™t click my fingers yet, mummy is teaching me how to click your fingers now.

I really liked Scott because he dressed up as a crab because he tried his hardest and him and Joanne from Grimsby Ariel from Grimsby looked like they were great friends! I wasn’t happy that they went home, because I voted lots and lots of times for them and think Craig should have let Scott and Joanne dance one more dance.

Here are Scott and Joanne with their spooky and frightening *thinks, they’re not scary at all* Foxtrot. Have a lovely afternoon and enjoy watching it:

I’d love to hear what you thought of that dance. Tweet me @scd_support or comment below. I look forward to hearing from you.
