Over the years on Strictly we have seen many memorable and fab-u-lous Argentine Tangos. In 2013, we suffered a bit of an Argentine Tango drought, with no Argentine Tango being performed until week 7 (when our couple in the limelight, Sophie and Brendan took to the floor to show us this brilliant dance.)
We had waited what felt like a life-time for an Argentine Tango and once we watched this dance we fell in love!
It was beautifully choreographed and gave us goosebumps. Sophie’s dress was gorgeous and the whole routine made us remember why we loved this dance so much. In our eyes it was slightly undermarked – it got 32/40 points but in our eyes it deserved at least 3, 9s in our opinion
In case you missed it earlier, her are Sophie and Brendan with their wonderful Argentine Tango:
We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. Tweet us @scd_support or comment below to let us know. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Over the years on Strictly there have been many memorable series and our couple in the spotlight this week come from 2013, the year when Girl Power reigned supreme and 4 female celebrities reached the final.
Yes, last night, we announced Sophie and Brendan as our next couple in the Spotlight as part of our Strictly Couple Weeks series.
During their time on the show, Sophie performed some brilliant dances and achieving a score of 36/40 in Week 2 for one of the best Charlestons we have ever seen.
Always oozing class and Elegance, the ballroom was her forte and she performed some of our all-time favourite ballroom routines of all time.
For our Monday Motivation and Day 1 of our Sophie and Brendan week, we’re reliving their Charleston. For a week 2 performance it surprised and amazed us. The choreography was daring, the dancing near perfection and the performance cool, laid-back and just brilliant!
It was one of those perfect moments that we loved. In case you missed it earlier, here are Sophie and Brendan with their wonderful Charleston:

Over the last 7 days on our twitter and facebook feeds we’ve been sharing some of our favourite dances from one of our favourite ever Champions, Harry Judd and his partner Aliona.
We began the week with a Jive, then popped over to Buenos Aires for an Argentine Tango before heading back to Blackpool for a wonderful Quickstep. Thursday was the turn of their beautiful Viennese Waltz and on Friday we remembered their Charleston. Yesterday, we asked you to help us choose between their Salsa and Samba in what’s become known as the Great Salsa/Samba Off.
Unless you’ve been living on another sparkly planet somewhere, you’ll know over the past week we’ve been sharing dances from one of our all-time favourite champions – Harry Judd and his professional partner Aliona!
We began the week with their Jive and have taken a trip to Argentina for their Argentine Tango, Headed off to Blackpool to see their Quickstep and then watched their Viennese Waltz and Charleston.
Those of you who follow the Strictly Support Group will know that Saturdays are the chance for a party and we love nothing more than watching a good Salsa or Samba whilst doing our weekend chores *sambas with her hoover*

It’s Tuesday and here at Strictly Support Group HQ we couldn’t resist sharing one of our all-time favourite Argentine Tangos.
Those of you who follow our blog will know that this week is Harry and Aliona week. Earlier today we shared their Argentine Tango. It was a dance that had so much passion, we’re pretty sure Bruno would have needed to lie down (after falling off his chair) and Len probably went off to pickle his walnuts in a dark room.
We loved this dance for so many reasons. It was a true goosebumps moment. Everything from the music, to the costumes (Aliona’s dress gave us serious dress envy) to the choreography and the performance just left us watching on in awe.
We loved this dance and shared it earlier on twitter and on our facebook pages:

Last night, we unveiled Harry and Aliona as our next couple in the spotlight as part of our Strictly Couple Weeks.
Not only were Harry and Aliona crowned champions in 2011, but they are one of our all-time favourite couples on Strictly.
To kick off their Strictly Couple Week, we’ve picked their wonderful Greased Lightning jive. For us, this was the performance where Harry really came alive and showed his true potential. It was full of energy, brilliant choreography and the concept and theme behind the dance were first-class.
We loved it, and hope you will too! In case you missed it earlier, here are Harry and Aliona with their Jive.

So last night, we unveiled the next couple in the spotlight as part of our Strictly Couple Weeks series, Ali and Brian!
During their time on Strictly in 2009, they reached the semi-finals and became one of our all-time favourite couples. Ali’s natural ability as a dancer as well as Brian’s original choreography gave us some truly memorable routines which we still love to watch now.
For day one of their Strictly Couple week, we’re reliving their charming Charleston! The Charleston was a new dance that year which made us smile and want to get up and dance. From the costumes, to the music, to the choreography and dancing, this was one of those perfect Strictly moments.
In our eyes it should have got a perfect 40/40 – *wonders what happens to the rest of the judges’ 10 paddles that night* A As an actress, Ali knew how to portray a character and in this dance, she did this perfectly.
Nearly 8 years after this dance was performed, it is still one of our all-time favourite Charlestons! If you haven’t seen it yet, or missed it earlier, here it is just for you:
We’d love to hear what you thought of this dance. You can tweet us @scd_support or comment below. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
